KAMI KEHOE has never been one to sit around and wait for permission. Now, that story continues with “SAFEHOUSE,” her brand-new single featuring Colorblind and Ekoh. Written in the aftermath of the Los Angeles fires, the track combines droning shoegaze, Deftones-style riffs and propulsive electronic undertones into a hypnotic blend of metal, alternative and hip-hop. It’s another bold step forward for Kami as she continues to kick down the guardrails of her sound – as well as another entry in her omnipresent push to Kure The World, a mantra proudly emblazoned on her bass drum and a mission statement that’s powered her songwriting since day one. “If I can change one person’s life through my music, then I’ve reached my goal,” she says proudly. “I make music for me; I release music for others.”
