Austin born-Phoenix based singer/songwriter, Sydney Sprague, welcomes listeners into her world with hypnotic vocals that give wind to witty lyrics sprinkled with introspection. Hard hitting guitars, topical narratives and catchy hooks capture the countless hours spent songwriting since beginning her career at the age of 11. With a long list of influences ranging from Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears to The National and Motion City Soundtrack- Sydney set out to develop her talent, becoming a mainstay performer in the Phoenix bar scene. When COVID hit, she pivoted to Twitch in which she streams weekly performing covers and originals. Candid and relatable, yet mysterious and thought provoking, Sydney’s songwriting is a breath of fresh air in a time where tensions are high and attention spans are short. Her debut album, maybe i will see you at the end of the world, is the soundtrack to a perfect apocalypse and a testament to the one of a kind chaos that defines the human experience. Upon its release in February 2021, the project has received features from notable outlets and tastemakers such as Substream, NPR, Refinery29, Amazing Radio and Uproxx. Twitch music reviewer and host of Soundcloud’s ‘Link & Build’, Masked Gorilla, praised tracks ‘I refuse to die’, ‘quitter’ & 'what u want’ claiming “we’re listening to the next Phoebe Bridgers”. Sydney is currently in the studio working with top producers in LA and locally in Phoenix on forthcoming new material in 2021.
